ReplyDeleteI like carving jack-o-lanterns. I don't use the innards of the pumpkin for anything. If I want to make a pumpkin food, I buy it canned. ;)

ReplyDeletewhen I was little may favorite thing to do with pumpkins was roast the salted seeds and eat them. Now that my son is grown I like to look at them carved on other people's porches :-)

I like to roast them in the oven, puree the insides, and then freeze them; I get truly homemade pumpkin cookies all year long!
ReplyDeleteI pretty much use pumpkin for everything.. I made a pumpkin chicken last week.. pumpkin soup, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cake... i drink pumpkin spice coffee all year round.. pumpkin is my favorite!
